Hi Estee,

I am sorry but I cannot answer that question for you.  I am a physician and not a computer programmer.   I depend on my OSP for items such as setting up the backend server functions.

I suggest that you post this question on the Oscar Developers list:

I am sure someone on that list could help you out.

- I was able to add additional fax no in the consultation form ( at the bottom )

Does your MOA print out the PAP requisition?

I find that the best workflow is for me to fill out the form and print it off after I have entered how I did the PAP (using spatula/cytobrush).

I get the MOA to enter the LMP beforehand, using the Measurement or write it in free text in the reason for the visit, if she is menopausal, so that I can choose how I want to represent that date in the PAP form.  Often, this will have been previously entered already at a previous PAP and will obviously not change.

Regards,

Herb.

OK - found one minor annoyance, related to LMP measurement.  I have frequently used a “year” only to designate onset of menopause.  One of my MOA’s recently wrote “menopause” in the box - pushing that to measurement doesn’t go over well.

The calendar function forces (initially) the input to be in date format, but this was bypassed with the input of text.

Even worse, in a different example, the MOA put the date in the wrong format, the Pap req tries to reformat, but gets it all wrong.  There are just too many ways a human can mess up this process!

Darn.

In reply to this post by Herb Chang-2

If you are talking about the Fax button on an Eform you need to add a Fax Recipient before the Fax button is activated by either choosing a provider from the drop down list and clicking Add Provider or typing in a fax number and clicking Add other Fax recipient.

In Prescriptions you need to add a Signature and save before the Fax and Paste into EMR button becomes active.

There may be some settings in the oscar.properties file that control this.

Here are all the setting from Oscar15 that have 'fax' from a recent .deb using SRFax as the gateway.

#To display fax number on Rx
RXFAX=yes

# Fax configuration
#faxEnable = no
faxLogo =
faxIdentifier = zwf4t%8*9@s
faxKeystore = /root/oscarFax/oscarFax.keystore

# True if fax should be enabled in the rx module and false otherwise.
#rx_fax_enabled=false

# True if signatures should be enabled in the consultation module and false otherwise.
# Requires faxEnable=yes
#consultation_fax_enabled=false
#faxEnable=no

# True if fax should be enabled in eforms and false otherwise.
#eform_fax_enabled=false

# EForm Generator flags to include indivica fax, sign and print components.
#eform_generator_indivica_signature_enabled=false
#eform_generator_indivica_print_enabled=false
#eform_generator_indivica_fax_enabled=false

# True if dynamic labelling is enabled in consultations and false otherwise.
# This requires consultation_fax_enabled = true
#consultation_dynamic_labelling_enabled=false

#The identifier to add as part of the temp consult fax filenames (pdf/txt) put in the jvm tmp directory
#e.g. CRF-OSCAREMR<reqId><systemTime>.pdf
#fax_clinic_id=OSCAREMR

enableFax=true

# Fax related
enableFax=true
faxEnable=yes
rx_fax_enabled=true
consultation_fax_enabled=true
consultation_signature_enabled=true
consultation_indivica_attachment_enabled=true
eform_fax_enabled=true
eform_generator_indivica_fax_enabled=true

Oscar12 may have other settings ;-)

While OSCAR is equipped for fax, its configuration is an advanced topic.

Please read the manual at oscarmanual.org and use the site search for fax

Then ask a more specific question
