SRFax_desktop for Mac

Nikolas Dafopoulos (MedBASE)
Does anyone have a copy of the SRFax Desktop client for Mac described here

http://oscarmanual.org/15/developers/installation/fax-1/srfax-desktop-client

SRFax is not supporting it anymore and doesn't offer it for download.

The standard YAJHFC doesn't seem to have the SRFax support.

You can use the Oscar FaxWs to connect with SRFax.  It’s maintained by the community and supported by SRFax.

Hi Dennis,

Yes, that is my first choice, but the code to integrate SRFax and FaxWs with OSCAR 15 was never merged with Oscar stable.  We use OSCAR stable because most of out systems are OMD certified.

I brought is up in a discussion in January (http://oscarmcmaster.16.x6.nabble.com/OSCAR15-stabe-FaxWS-and-SRFAX-td5009983.html)  and you discovered it was never merged.

I guess my next question would be how do we get the changes in OSCAR 15  to support SRFax merged into Oscar 15 Stable?

Pick your programming language and use/build from the following

The source for the modified YAHFC is https://github.com/oscarservice/yajhfc-srfax

you can use a gateway Python script for OSCAR for sending
http://oscarmanual.org/15/developers/installation/fax-1/gateway4SRFax

You can use Oscar FaxWS client for both incoming and outgoing

you can use the Ruby on Rails SRFax api on github
https://github.com/Preferral/SRFax

you can use the SRFax webpages for sending as well

Re: SRFax_desktop for Mac

Nikolas Dafopoulos (MedBASE)

Thanks Peter,

I use the python api for sending and it works well.

The YAJHFC client is really helpful for finding and resending Fax errors and a bit easier than the web page.

It is also a no-brainer for people who previously used YAJHFC with hylafax and move to SRFax.

Nikolas
